On Saturday morning around 9:00am deputies were dispatched to 16081 Hwy 26, Jennings for a domestic disturbance. When deputies arrived they spoke with the complainant who stated her boyfriend was arguing with her about money and grabbed her purse. The complainant stated that her boyfriend struck her in the face when she attempted to get the purse back.

The boyfriend was not in the residence when deputies arrived. Deputies searched the area around the house and located the boyfriend hiding in bushes behind the residence. Kelvin Walker, Jr., 31, of 16093 Highway 26, Jennings, LA was booked for violation of protective order, Domestic abuse battery and Domestic abuse battery with child endangerment. He is held in the parish jail with no bond.
