On Thursday, April 19, 2018, Detectives were following up on a theft of a motorcycle call at 2204 Hwy 190 in Elton.  While investigating the incident Detectives learned of a stolen vehicle involved in a burglary on the south side of the parish.  Detectives located the stolen vehicle at the residence in Elton. 

The suspect from the burglary, Brandon Allen Miller,33, of 2217 Stagg Avenue, Basile, LA was arrested without incident.  Miller was booked into the parish jail on the following charges:  Illegal Possession of Stolen Things, Simple Criminal Damage to Property, 2 counts of Simple Burglary, and 2 counts of Unauthorized Use of a Movable.  Miller also had an active warrant from Oberlin P.D. for theft and Unauthorized Use of a Movable.  Miller is currently on Probation and a hold was placed on him.

Also at the residence was Amy Nichole Lafleur.  Detectives searched the residence and located a bottle of prescription pills in Lafleur's possession.  Amy Nichole Lafleur,37,  2204 Hwy 190, Elton, LA was placed under arrest for possession of Schedule II narcotics.  She was booked into the parish jail without incident.
