Sheriff Ivy Woods said, "We got em!" Detectives from Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office arrested two men today involved in the death of Charles Raymond Talen, 73, of 1216 Pom Roy Road, Lake Arthur, that occurred Saturday. Talen's vehicle was stolen and later burned at a remote location in Vermillion Parish. Roderick Cawthorne Jr., 18, of 504 Calcasieu Street, Lake Arthur and Brett Daniel Hebert, 26, of 504 Calcasieu Street, Lake Arthur, were arrested for the murder of Talen.... Cawthorne and Hebert are charged with 1st degree murder in the death of Charles Raymond Talen. Detectives obtained arrest warrants this afternoon with the assistance of the Jefferson Davis Parish District Attorney's office and located Cawthorne and Hebert in Lake Arthur. They were arrested without incident and transported to the Sheriff's Office. Detectives are expecting more arrests in this investigation.
