In 1936 Jefferson Davis Parish held it's 7th election for Sheriff. In that election Gus Broussard, a native of Jennings, LA, was elected as the 4th Sheriff of Jefferson Davis Parish. Sheriff Broussard was Sheriff for three years, 1936 and 1939.
